GRAS Launches New EQset Series Measurement Microphones 40PO-L/40PO-H

Axiometrix Solutions, a global leader in the testing and measurement field, proudly announces the launch of the GRAS 40PO-L and 40PO-H measurement microphones featuring EQset™ technology. This new line of production microphones ensures consistent, reliable audio testing for smart devices, providing high-quality test results across different manufacturing sites.

Microphones 40PO-L/40PO-H

The microphones feature a frequency response up to 40 kHz (suitable for high-fidelity standards and ultrasonic applications) and incorporate a new packaging design to improve test accuracy. These improvements will elevate audio quality in global manufacturing, ensuring product consistency while strictly adhering to industry standards and customer-specific requirements. This is essential to maintaining trust, consistency, and profitability between audio brands and manufacturers.

The microphones also effectively reduce error rates, simplify calibration processes, and ensure compliance with product specifications. Moreover, using the EQset™ microphones allows for seamless replacements without adjusting the signal chain, ensuring production lines run smoothly without downtime. First Production Line Microphone to Support Ultrasonic Measurements

The new GRAS 40PO-L and 40PO-H are groundbreaking additions to the GRAS EQset™ production microphone portfolio. The 40PO-L microphone is designed for low sound pressure level measurements, while the GRAS 40PO-H is capable of measuring higher sound pressure levels. Specifically, the GRAS 40PO-L has a dynamic range from 30 dBA to 128 dBpk, while the GRAS 40PO-H spans from 36 dBA to 138 dBpk. Both new microphones meet TEDs standards, a first for EQset™ microphones.

The ultrasonic capability of this new microphone makes it ideal for high-fidelity audio testing, harmonic and intermodulation distortion testing, and high-frequency drivers. They can also measure ultrasonic noise interference and ultrasonic applications in smart devices, such as presence detection, motion detection, and distance sensing.
